I think the most important characteristic is team smarts. The characteristics I think should be added to this list are honesty and good communication skills. I feel like I posses honesty and communication skills, but I could get better communication skills and work on my team smarts.

I think the most important traits are battle hardened confidence and fearlessness. I believe a ceo should be willing to stand up for his company and its interests if the public can consider him to be a good leader. With a confident ceo, he will take risks that will eventually have great dividends. Plus the company should not have a leader that is afraid to make any decision. He must do something and live with it.

I believe the most important characteristic is fearlessness. You have to be willing to take chances no matter what the consequence. If I had to add a characteristic I would add better communication skills because people need to know how to run meetings and more. I possess the fearlessness factor and passionate traits of a CEO because I am a passionate worker and am willing to do whatever it takes to make sure the business runs smoothly. I think I would need to work on having a simple mind set because I tend to over think many situations.

I believe the most important trait listed is the battle hardened confidence because to be a leader one has to have a commanding presence where others will not doubt your decisions or actions. I feel like hardworking should be added to this list because leading by example is the best way to display leadership qualities. I feel like I posses honesty and communication skills a long with team smarts because I do well working with others and in groups. However, I believe I need to work on fearlessness because I am very scared.

I think the most important trait is fearlessness because they won't be afraid to take chances and entrepreneurs who make a lot of money as risk takers. The same can be said for CEOs. However its also helpful so someone won't panic under stressful situations. Other good traits include fairness in the workplace and dedication to where the Ceo will actually take hold of his/her company and run it instead of leaving it to someone else.

I consider that of the listed traits, the most important characteristic is confidence. As a leader you have to be confident in what you are doing. Everyone wants to work for someone who is confident in what they are doing and knows what they need others to do to get the objective done. No one will ever want to work for a leader who isn’t confident in themselves, the product, or their employees. I believe that time oriented and punctuality should be added. As a leader you need to be able to do things in a timely manner and show up on times to meetings and events, to set an example for what you want others to do. I feel like I have confidence and a simple mind set. These traits allow me to work well with others and get things done efficiently.

Confidence should be an important characteristic of a CEO in my opinion. Being confident would assure the employees under you with your decisions and the confidence you display with your decisions and actions influence your employees as well. Other important characteristics should be trustworthiness and respect as they help develop a better working environment.

I see the idea of having a "passionate curiosity" stand out among the other four characteristics that were described. The ingenuity to have an idea is a rare feat and forces a person to actively make decisions upon why he or she feels compelled to believe in it. An example of a profound idea is the Higgs Boson particle and the pursuit that many physicists and researchers had to discover its existence, which is still ongoing. The idea of pursuing after the theory's realism is what takes creative minds to work together and form collective groups that can focus on this goal, albeit how many odds stand against their progress.

Also, I feel that other characteristics like awareness, a profound perspective in many sectors, and overall amiability will aid a potential CEO in creating a successful group or organization that aims to complete a goal. I may not possess these characteristics at the moment, but I do admire those who have taken such values and ingrain them within their company's objectives.

I think the most important characteristic is team smarts. The characteristics that should be added are trustworthiness and communication. I feel like i can communicate well with others but can still improve and also be the type that everyone can trust to get the job done.

I believe that confidence is the most important aspect in business. One must be able to command respect to earn respect. no only among coworkers, but in the business world, etching into fearlessness, you have to be confident enough in your decisions to lead a company in and to lead it successfully. Advisers are very common and highly recommended but the final decision is in your hands and you need to make that decision. I think caring should be a quality added to the list. It is easy to be the head of the corporation and forget who is at the feet. People see all the time in movies and television shows like Undercover Boss the difference of being behind the desk and actually being at the bottom of the food chain. Caring for your employees, to remember them, is important also because it improves productivity through morale as we learned in economics already. I think I could improve on communication skills because I think sometimes I can rub people the wrong way. sometimes I just get carried away trying to be the leader, but two personalities can be hindering and sometimes it is for efficient to take a back seat.

I believe that the most important characteristic is team smarts. To be able to run a company or business successfully, the team and coworkers should trust and be able to depend on their leader to lead them in the right direction and be a strong team leader. Without faith existing amongst the team, it would fall apart because people would be working for themselves, in hatred of others, instead of working as a team. The saying “two heads are better than one” is extremely pertinent in this situation, and if one person does not put in his or her entire effort, the whole team can fall apart. Before people can trust each other or the company, they have to be able to trust their leader, and the leader should be the person they look up to. Something that should be added to the list is humility and open mindedness. A good leader should be confident and strong enough to hold up the company; however, should be humble enough to understand the mistakes and flaws he or she makes which would allow for an open mind. If one cannot laugh at themselves then it proves that they do not have the confidence and self esteem to know what they are capable of. Humility also can urge people to work harder and if a leader does not have this, then he or she would become arrogant. I believe that I have the quality of team smarts. I am able to collaborate with others and am dependable. I would need to work on fearlessness and a simple mindset.

The most important characteristic is fearlessness. If you are too scared to take the first step, present your idea, and continue presenting it when you are turned down, then you will never get anywhere. A characteristic that should be added is communication skills because if you have a good idea but cannot easily communicate it to others then no one will take a step with you. I possess honesty however my honesty is usually my downfall, so I need to work on when to be honest. If someone has a dumb idea and I tell them their idea is dumb, it shows my honesty, however it is also bad communication skills and teamwork.

I think that battle hardened confidence is the most important skill to have. In today's world of fickle consumers, the slightest eye twitch of a CEO could send stocks plummeting. CEO's have to have incredible confidence, or at least seem like they do. I think that the list should include good foresight, unwavering determination, and unshakable beliefs. I believe that I already have the skill of passionate curiosity, I'm always eager to understand something if it interests me.

Madison Washburn said...

I definitely think that team smarts is the most important trait on their list. You're not going to get anywhere if you can't work with people or lead a team. If I were to add anything to the list, I would probably put communication. It's crucial that people at the head of a company can adequately communicate with those around them, otherwise things become unclear and problems can occur. As for the characteristics I think I might have, I believe I’ve got the fearless one down. Not much tends to discourage me from doing anything I put my mind to, which I believe mixes well with my battle-hardened confidence. I’d probably struggle with having a simple mindset. I tend to overthink things a little too much.

I think passionate curiosity and battle hardened confidence are the two big ones to stand by. As a CEO, or even as just an employee trying to advance in corporate America, you have to be able to think outside of the norm in order to truly innovate. Ask questions. Try things. Experiment. Be willing to learn. Knowledge is the key to almost everything. Then, you have to have the confidence as a leader to stand by your ideas, take chances, and make decisions, without having to second guess or doubt yourself afterwards. The only way to guarantee a 100% chance of failure is if you never make an attempt in the first place.

Mayur Patel said...

I think the most important characteristic is fearlessness. The reasoning behind this is that you are always willing to take the chances no matter what, and that is the thing that can lead to a successful business. After all saving all the money in a deposit wont do much unless you invest and take big risks like entrepreneurs. I believe that I have the confidence to take the risk and make smart decisions that can help my business boom. But I think I would need to work on communicating skills because after all taking big risks also needs some kind of support beneath it so by having good communication skills I can improve my self.

I'n my opinion the most important of the aforementioned traits is "team smarts". No man is and island so one's ability to work with others can ultimately determine their success.
A trait I think that should be added to this list is to become a successful businessman is tolerance. One cannot avoid dealing with people so dealing with them properly and appropriately is the best way to go about being a person in a big world.

Malcolm Berry said...

The most important characteristic is the passionate curiosity. Curiosity leads us to discovery and then innovation, which are, in my personal opinion, the most important things in business. Although all the things on this are good, a thing that could be added is the characteristic of understanding. Sometimes in the business world I feel that people are often times fired for making one mistake and are never given a fair chance to prove themselves; for example, Steve Jobs was fired was initially fired as Apple's C.E.O. for focusing to much on innovation and not money, innovation that, ironically, when he returned, made the company more money. I definitely poses the passionate curiosity characteristics, but I could work on everything else, especially in the fearlessness and confidence categories.

Victoria Hackney said...

I feel as though fearlessness is the most important characteristic. A CEO needs to have the ability to see the reward and not the risk. I think that strong communication skills should be added to the list because if a CEO cannot communicate his ideas effectively, how will his ideas be able to be started/implemented? With strong communication skills, a CEO can also gain trust from his colleagues. I believe that I have passionate curiosity and team smarts but I need to work on my fearlessness. I tend to be the person that allows my fears of the failure to overpower what could be the rewards

In my mind, a good mind set and business skills can do no good if you can't communicate your ideas to the people in your team, so I think the most important characteristic of being a CEO is having team smarts and being able to work with the group of people around you. A CEO may call the shots, but it's all the people around him that actually do the work. Being fearless and having confidence is great, but just make sure you can tell all of your plans to a team of people effectively. That being said, communication skills should be added to the list. I feel as though I'm pretty good at communicating, but I am nowhere near possessing fearlessness.

I believe the most important characteristic is fearlessness. You have to take risks and chances for the betterment of the company. A characterization I would add would be stronger communication skills because it is vital to the success of a company to have good talking skills with clients. I have the trait of team smarts because I work well with a group and am willing to contribute ideas. I think I would need to work on having a simple mind set and fearlessness.

Terrence Yeow said...

Out of the listed characteristics, I think the most important is team smarts. Specifically with CEO’s, it is crucial that they are both direct and able to work comfortably with a group, otherwise, it will be difficult to complete tasks. Also, it would help to determine who is reliable and who is not, which could indicate the employees the CEO should keep. I think perseverance should be added. Going alongside battle-hardened confidence, having the ability to recover from failure no matter how many times it occurs could prove to be beneficial to a CEO. From the list, I possess fearlessness because I am not afraid to take certain risks if it meant the possibility of significant improvement. I would need to work on having a simpler mindset because I occasionally elaborate extensively when giving presentations.

In my opinion, the most important characteristic is passionate curiosity. Practically anyone can become a CEO, but if they lack the passion or willingness to learn from others, there does not seem to be a point in pursing that career. I would add connectivity. When dealing with numerous situations, I think a successful CEO should be able to connect their individual ideas to a larger concept that does not necessarily have to only pertain to their own company. Out of the list, I think I possess battle-hardened confidence. When dealing with failure, I use it as motivation to improve rather than sulking in negativity. I have the most trouble with fearlessness. Since I do not enjoy being out of my comfort zone and would prefer everything to be thoroughly planned, it can become a setback.

Team smarts is the quality I deem most important for a CEO. A CEO has to work with a team or group almost every day and they need to know how to work with and be productive with the team in order to create success for the business. Communication skills is something I think is essential to anyone, especially a CEO. If one cannot communicate to the group what needs to be done, then nothing gets done, no matter how smart people are or how good the CEO is with the other skills listed. I believe I have some sense of team smarts. I have had experience working with and leading groups and have some methods for creating group happiness and success.

The most important characteristic is confidence. Without confidence, every other personality trait is rendered almost useless because they cannot be displayed properly or efficiently. Confidence will also get people very far into the business world because it produces trust among important associates. Other important characteristics include kindness, leadership, and practical intelligence. The most important of all these is practical intelligence because textbook knowledge will only get a person so far. However, I have all these characteristics, which is why I listed them in the first place.

I think the most important trait is passionate curiosity, because through making accurate and detailed blueprints of what people want and the world around you success can be found. The things I am lacking most in is probably team smarts, simply because I do most things on my own. One more thing I would add to that list is flexibility which kind of falls under fearlessness but being able to adapt to the situation and make the bad news manageable.

I think that the most important characteristic listed is fearlessness. CEOs need to be willing take risks and do unexpected things if their companies are ever to get anywhere. If you're fearful, you're never going to get anywhere. You can't be afraid to present new ideas. That being said, you have to actually be able to present your ideas, and so communication skills are something I would add to the list. I think a CEO needs to be a people person. I definitely need to work on the fearlessness factor, but I think after having a job where I have to work with other people that I've developed team smarts.

The most important characteristic is respect. This allows for your subordinates to follow your orders no matter their ridiculousness out of respect. There would also be less orders disregarded because of this respect. The trait that I lack is team smarts. I do not work well within a team because of a lack of trust amongst other people. I always end up doing all of the work.

Merin Mathew said...

I think that fearlessness is key to success. They need to be willing to make chance for the sake of their company. Taking risk is key into increasing money and productivity with new products /services they invest in. I believe that being a trustworthy boss is important in a business. You have have a trustworthy leader for the sake of the company.I feel I posses such quality because at the end of the day, I always worry about letting people down. I strongly believe that the CEO should have people skills. This is essential in order to carry out the business smoothly. I deeply need to work on that because I am not always confidence in talking to people sometimes.

Lloyd Farley said...

The only trait that I have is curiosity. I tend to be very curious and will research things that interest me just for the of it. However, I don't believe that this is that helpful for being a manager because it distracts me from other things. Honesty is another trait that I have. Communication is a weak trait of my own and so is team smarts.

Francescha Rundle said...

One of the key characteristics that CEO's should possess is confidence. With this, the mindsets of fearlessness and curiosity come out. As leaders, confidence will get them through company choices as well as their appearance towards other people. I believe that being diligent should be on the list. Hard work will pay off either as a CEO or someone aspiring to be one. For me, I would suck at being a CEO. I already know that a serious talk about money management will easily turn into a "which type of cat is better" argument in a matter of seconds. One of the characteristics I would probably possess is confidence. However (another reason why I would suck) there will be confidence in working with others, not with being fearless or delving into curiosity! In the end, certain people aren't cut out to be a CEO. I think I'm probably one of them.

I think that the most important characteristic is passionate curiosity. It is the main driving force that leads to success as a CEO. Conservatism is not necessarily bad, but since we live in an ever changing society, being too rigid is not going to get you anywhere

In my opinion, battle hardened confidence is the most important characteristic a CEO can posses because they are always dealing and representing a company and a large number of people. Because of this, they need to be take on whatever is thrown at them and stand their ground. I few characteristics that I would add to the list are a good work ethic, admirable leadership skils, and the ability to be open to new ideas. Of these I think I possess the ability to open up to new ideas, but I would need to work on my work ethic and leadership skills.

Esther Amaku said...

I think that the most important trait for CEO's is a simple-mindset. I think that a CEO should be simple minded because this enables them to not complicate situations, which allows them to make better easier decisions with a clear mind. Some traits that should be on that article might be determination, responsibility, and patience. The most important of those is determination because that is what fuels your drive, which enables you to strive for more. I think that I posses a lot of curiosity, but I need to work on my fearlessness so that a can make risky decisions.

James George said...

Team smarts is the quality I deem most important for a CEO. A CEO has to work with people everyday and must be able to get along well with them. The trait I need to work on is fearlessness. It tends to be difficult for me to make decisions for a whole team because my decision could hurt the whole team

Jose San Juan said...

Apart from the formal and business side, I think the CEO's most important attribute would have to be passionate curiosity. This is because a curious and adventurous head of a company has insights to the visions of the future that will eventually lead the company to success, not necessarily to all the riches and triumphs, but rather the joy that is produced when striving for these goals. Without this view then a company will just remain another.business stuck in between the stress of the competition.

Jenny Chang said...

I think the most important trait is battle-hardened confidence because with this confidence, no matter how hard the job may seem, the CEO can initiate something to overcome it. This will also encourage the employees. I possess passionate curiosity and a simple mindset. I lack battle-hardened confidence, fearlessness, and team smarts.

Kevin Lin said...

In my opinion, the most important characteristic trait is Passionate Curiosity. In order to accomplish different tasks and come up with innovated things, you must think outside the box. Those who do so are the ones who lead the industry forward with the newest/hottest successes.

I think the most important characteristic mentioned is team smarts. Especially in today's society, being able to work well with others and communicate well is critical to success. Characteristics that should be added include intelligence and resources. Of those listed, I feel I possess a passionate curiosity, because I do feel passionately towards certain subjects that greatly interest me. I need to work on team smarts the most.

Mishi Jain said...

I think the most important characteristic is passionate curiosity. If a CEO does not have curiosity, they will never be able to progress and become innovative, something that is necessary to run a successful company. They should add communication skills and courage. Those two are important characteristics to have for anyone, not just CEOs. Finally, I think I would need to work on curiosity because I sometimes lack in that area
